SOUR CREAM FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. black walnuts or pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, salt, and sour cream. Cook stirring occasionally to soft balls stage (236 degrees). Add butter. Cool at room temperature without stirring until lukewarm. Beat until mixture loses gloss.

Add nut meats and vanilla. Spread in buttered pan. When cool cut in squares. Makes 25 pieces.
