VEGETABLES FROM HELL 
1/2 c. dried shitake mushrooms
1 c. celery, sliced
1 (7 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods
1 tsp. low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 tsp. 5-Alarm Hot Stuff

Pour warm water over mushrooms to cover, and let sit for 20 minutes to soften. Drain and slice. Cook celery in salted water for 5 minutes. Cook pea pods as directed on package. Toss all vegetables together with soy sauce and 5-Alarm Hot Stuff. Yield: 6 servings.

5-ALARM HOT STUFF:

1 tbsp. granulated garlic
1 tbsp. onion flakes
1 tbsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 tbsp. ginger
1/2 tbsp. thyme
1/2 tbsp. dry mustard
1/2 tbsp. ground cloves
1/2 tbsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1/2 tbsp. hot paprika
1/2 tbsp. cumin
1 tsp. bay leaf
1 tsp. parsley
