CABBAGE SOUP | |
1 head cabbage 2 lg. onions 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 2 lemons 1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. salt Pepper, to taste Piece of flanken 1 tomato Dice onions, tomato. Add to tomato sauce, lemon, sugar, and salt. Simmer 25 minutes. Add meat, bones, cabbage (chopped), pepper and 4 cups boiling water. Simmer 1 1/2 hours. Best made a day ahead and reheated. Freezes beautifully. |
