GINGER SQUARES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. melted lard
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
Flour to roll

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Sprinkle flour on cookie sheet. Roll dough onto flour. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown. Cut in squares. Frost with powdered sugar glaze.
