SKILLET DINNER 
1 lb. bulk sausage
1 sm. head cabbage, shredded
1 apple, diced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. V-8 vegetable or consomme
7 oz. medium egg noodles

Brown sausage in a large skillet. Pour off excess drippings. Add cabbage, apple, salt, sugar, and liquid. Cover and simmer until cabbage is just tender crisp (6 to 8 minutes). Meanwhile cook noodles according to package directions. Drain noodles, add to skillet, mix well and heat about one minute. Serves 4 to 5.
