CRUNCHY VEGETABLE BULGAR SALAD | |
1 c. ala bulgar 1 c. boiling water 2 carrots, coarsely chopped 1/2 c. thinly sliced green onions 1 sm. chopped green pepper 1 stalk thinly sliced celery 1/4 c. lemon juice 1/3 c. salad oil 2 cloves garlic, pressed 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. dry basil 1/2 tsp. each sugar, dry mustard and pepper Cover bulgar with boiling water and let stand 1 hour. Cool: then add vegetables. Add dressing, cover and let stand 4 hours. Dressing recipe starts with the lemon juice. You will be ever so healthy eating this salad. |
