SPECIAL K BARS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. light Karo syrup
1 c. peanut butter
5 c. Special K (or 6 cups Rice Krispies)
1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1 c. (6 oz.) butterscotch chips

Combine sugar and syrup in a 3 quart pan cook over moderate heat, stirring frequently until boiling. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and mix well. Add cereal. Press in 13 x 9 greased pan. Melt chips together in double boiler. Stir until blended well. Pour over cereal mixture. Cool.
