CARAMEL CANDY 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 c. Pet milk
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped

Mix together sugar, corn syrup, milk, water and butter. Cook to boiling point, stirring constantly. Cook until it forms a firm ball in water. Remove from heat, add vanilla. Pour into well greased, shallow pan. Let stand until cool enough to handle. Put nuts into a bowl and drop by spoons (one at a time) of the cooled candy into the bowl of nuts. Shape into cylinders and lay on wax paper. Makes about 3 dozen.
