NUT TORTE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk, beaten with 1 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter

Mix all together and put in 9 inch pan and up sides. Bake in 325 degree oven for 20 minutes. Cool slightly.

4 c. pecans, walnuts or almonds
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
3 beaten eggs
1/3 c. flour
2 tbsp. rum
1/2 c. apricot preserves

Spread on crust and top with 1/4 cup pecans or other nuts. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
