GINGERBREAD COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. molasses
1 egg
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
Raisins for decoration

Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Roll out onto floured surface and cut into shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
