FRUIT SHORTCAKE | |
1 qt. fresh or partially frozen fruit such as strawberries, bananas, peaches, raspberries, blueberries or combination of fruits 1/2 c. sugar, more or less if using fresh fruit Whipped cream Biscuits or pound cake Slice fresh fruit and toss with sugar or partially thaw frozen fruit, set aside. Cut biscuits in half or slice pound cake. Place biscuit cut side up or pound cake on dessert plate. Cover with fruit then top with whipped cream. Serves 4-6. For added flavor you can add vanilla, almond or some other extract to the fruit. |
