SWEET PICKLES 
5 lbs. cucumbers
1 c. lime
7 c. sugar
5 c. vinegar
1/2 box pickle spice

Slice cucumbers into a stove crock or jars. Sprinkle with lime and add enough water to cover cucumbers. Allow to set overnight. Next morning rinse thoroughly in cold water.

Combine sugar, vinegar and pickling spices in a large pot. Add cucumbers and cook until pickles are crystal clear. Put in hot jars and seal. Boil jars 5 minutes.
