COLESLAW 
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. salt
Few grains pepper
4 c. shredded cabbage
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. light cream
1/4 c. vinegar

Combine 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1/4 teaspoon salt and a few grains pepper. Beat 1 egg; add 2 tablespoons melted butter and 3/4 cup light cream. Mix well. Add 1/4 cup vinegar slowly.

Cook in double boiler over hot water, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Chill. Toss dressing with cabbage; sprinkle with paprika.
