FRENCH APPLE PIE 
Pastry for 9 inch one crust pie
1 qt. apple filling
1 c. all-purpose flour (not self-rising)
1/2 c. firm butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pastry. Pour apple filling into pastry lined pie plate; spread evenly. Mix flour, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon until crumbly. Sprinkle topping on filling. Bake 50 minutes. Cover topping with foil last 10 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning.
