PINEAPPLE SQUARES 
3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. Quick Quaker Oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shortening
2 well beaten eggs

FILLING:

1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix flour, oats, baking soda, brown sugar, baking powder together. Add shortening and mix until crumbly. Add eggs and mix well. Pat half of mixture into cookie sheet (about 9x13 inch). Reserve rest for topping.

Add filling: Cook pineapple, sugar and cornstarch until thick, then sprinkle other half of mixture on top. May add 1 cup of chopped nuts on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
