BANANA BREAD | |
1/2 c. butter - room temperature 1/2 c. brown sugar - packed 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs - room temperature 1/2 c. sour cream 1 c. pureed ripe bananas 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 c. chopped nuts - optional Cream butter, gradually beat in both sugars. Keep beating until light and airy. Beat in eggs - one at a time - beat in sour cream, bananas and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients and nuts until moistened but don't beat to death. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, smooth batter. Bake 55 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand in pan 10 minutes, then turn out to cool. |
