Wash beets well and remove inedible parts, ... if necessary, add a small amount of water to prevent burning. Cook until tender. Serves 4 to 6.

Heat beet juice water mixture; add Jello ... jelled. Add celery, green onion and celery seed. Stir ... until firm. Looks nice in a clear bowl.

Heat beets; drain. Mix with French dressing. Place in individual serving dishes. Top with sour cream. Sprinkle with onions.

Scrub beets, cover with water and boil for 30 minutes until tender (test with knife).

Combine beets and dressing; marinate at least ... toss gently. Arrange beet mixture on spinach leaves; sprinkle with egg yolk. Yields 2 servings.



Boil vinegar and beet juice. Add juice and spices to boiling. Pour over beets and then chill well.

Blend these ingredients by combining ... one or a mixture of any of the following: Garnish with anchovies, green or black olives, parsley sprigs.

Mix and set in flat pan or mold. DRESSING: Mix and spread over Jello mix when set or use as topping after Jello is cut and ready to serve.

Mix well and refrigerate. This makes a large salad. It is not sweet but rather tart.

Cook stems in canner pressure ... and cut larger beets. Boil other ingredients together ... pints or quarts. May hot bath 10 minutes if desired.
