Boil 1 1/2 cups water. Melt red hots. Add Jello, then cold water. Let sit 5 minutes, then add applesauce. Chill until set.
Dissolve strawberry Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Stir in can of applesauce. Fold in frozen strawberries. Chill until set.
