GRAPE PIE | |
4 c. Concord grapes 1/4 c. all purpose flour 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tbsp. butter, melted CRUMB TOPPING: 1/2 c. flour, all purpose 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. soft butter Bake 40 minutes at 400 degrees or a little longer. Wash grapes good; take skins off and put in a bowl; set aside. Put insides of grapes in pan (if there's not much juice, add very small amount of water). Cook about 10 minutes, after starts boiling, remove from heat and pour in colander. Strain in bowl. Add all ingredients for pie; mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell, then mix topping and crumble on top of pie and bake. Cool 1 hour. Serves 6-8. Make regular pie crust (single). |
