CALIFORNIA CASSEROLE 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
1/2 sm. green pepper, chopped
1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 sm. can tomatoes
1 sm. can kidney beans
1/4 c. regular rice
1/8 c. olives
3 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
5 drops hot pepper sauce

In large frying pan, saute meat until it loses its red color. Drain. Add garlic, salt, pepper, onion, green pepper and 1/4 teaspoon chili powder. Cook 5 minutes or until onion is wilted. Add Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, tomatoes, kidney beans and rice. Turn into a buttered 1-quart casserole. Bake covered 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more. Sprinkle olives and cheese on top and bake 15 minutes more or until cheese melts.
