FUNNY FACE PANCAKES 
Griddle
2 med. mixing bowls

REGULAR PANCAKES:

3/4 c. cornmeal
1 1/4 c. pancake mix
4 tsp. sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 c. milk

CHOCOLATE PANCAKES:

3/4 c. cornmeal
1 1/4 c. pancake mix
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 c. milk

Before you start. Have adult show you how to use griddle. If electric, preheat griddle to 400 degrees.

1. Measure cornmeal, pancake mix and sugar into sifter and sift into mixing bowl.

2. Beat egg slightly in custard cup.

3. Add egg and milk to dry ingredients and stir to combine.

1. Drizzle some of the chocolate pancake batter from a teaspoon onto the hot griddle to form a face (two eyes and a smile). 2. When bubbles form on the chocolate batter, pour 1/4 cup of the regular batter over the face.

3. Turn the entire pancake over when the top of the pancake is covered with bubbles and the edges look dry.

4. Brown the other side, about 1 or 2 minutes.

5. Serve with butter and syrup. About 20 pancakes.
