PRUNE ROLLS
5 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 lb. pitted prunes, cooked (remove extra liquid); ground
1 lb. butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. skim milk

Add salt to flour, blend in softened butter. Dissolve yeast in warmed milk and add beaten egg; mix well with flour and butter mixture. Divide dough into 3 equal parts; refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll out dough in granulated sugar to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut rolled dough into pieces approximately 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/3 inches. Place a well rounded teaspoonful of prunes on each piece, roll each piece up and press ends together. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes until a golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet while hot and place on waxed paper to cool.
