CHOCOLATE PAN CAKE 
2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 stick butter
1/2 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine in mixing bowl, flour, salt, sugar and cocoa. In saucepan bring to boil water, butter and cooking oil. Pour into bowl with dry ingredients and add eggs, buttermilk, baking powder and vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased 11 x 16 inch baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

1 box confectioners' sugar
1 c. chopped nuts

Pour on cake as soon as it is removed from oven. Number of servings: 90 finger size squares or 40 (2 inch) squares.
