3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. Quick oats
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. white sugar

Beat 1st 3 ingredients until creamy. Beat in water, egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Cover and chill 2 hours. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with fork that has been dipped in white sugar.
