FLAT APPLE PIE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Milk
8 to 10 apples
Cinnamon
1 c. shortening
1 egg yolk
Corn Flakes
1 c. sugar
Butter

Mix flour, salt and shortening. Put egg yolk in a cup and fill to 2/3 with milk. Beat slightly and mix with flour mixture. Roll half of dough to fit a cookie sheet. Cover with 3 handfuls crushed cereal. Slice apples over cereal and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Cover with remaining dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. While hot, brush with glaze.

GLAZE:

3/4 c. powdered sugar
Vanilla
Milk to make thin spreading consistency
