GROUND BEEF VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. diced onion
1 c. diced potato
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. shredded cabbage
1 c. diced celery
1 c. peas
2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
1/4 c. rice
3 c. water
4 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf

Cook ground beef, onion and bay leaf; drain off fat and remove bay leaf. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 1 hour.
