BUTTER-PECAN LOGS | |
1 1/4 c. flour 1/2 c. butter, softened 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 tsp. maple flavor extract 1 (3 oz.) can pecans, finely chopped 1/4 c. confectioners' sugar 1. In medium bowl, by hand, mix flour, butter, sugar, vanilla and maple. Add the chopped pecans until well blended. 2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Shape level tablespoon of dough into 3 inch logs and about 1 1/2 inch apart, on ungreased large cookie sheet. 3. Bake cookies 25-30 minutes until lightly browned. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool slightly. Place confectioners' sugar on sheet of waxed paper. Roll cookies in confectioners' sugar - coat well; cool completely on wire rack. Makes about 20 cookies. |
