OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
5 eggs
3 c. all purpose flour
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream butter and shortening gradually. Add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Continue beating and add eggs, one at a time.

Combine flour and baking powder in creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir in vanilla and lemon extract.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 10" tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool in the pan 10 to 15 minutes, then remove and cool completely before serving.
