OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
5 eggs (lg.)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

1. Soften butter and then mix until creamy.

2. Gradually add 2 cups of sugar.

3. Add 1 egg at a time, mix thoroughly after each egg.

4. Add vanilla, almond flavoring may also be added.

5. Gradually add in flour, 1/2 cup at a time.

6. Spray tube pan with "Pam"

7. Bake about 1 hour at 325 to 350 degrees.

I'm 15 and I love to bake alot. This recipe was simple and doesn't need lots of ingredients however if your gonna cook it on 350°F, do not cook it for a whole hour or it will be too hard anyways love this recipe I'm definitely making more in the future.

I have been making this basic recipe for years and got it from my mom who got it from her mom... Only difference is I use 6 eggs and cost pan with oil or butter and sprinkle either sugar or flour on pan before filling with batter and cook at 325°F ... Starting it out in a cold oven... Amazing pound cake!!!!

Baked this today. Omg so good! But I put it into two pans instead of just one...now I can freeze one and eat less lol
