FRESH APPLE CAKE 
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. peeled and chopped apples
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix eggs, sugar and oil. Sift together dry ingredients and add to egg mixture. Add apples, walnuts and mix well. Add vanilla; mix. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. (Check, I bake mine longer.)

TOPPING FOR APPLE CAKE:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
