1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

FILLING:

1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. melted butter

Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg and mix well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to creamed mixture. Spread 1/2 the batter in a greased 7 x 11 inch pan. Sprinkle 1/2 the filling on top of the batter. Cover with the remaining batter and sprinkle with the remaining filling. Bake in 375 degree oven. This makes a large coffee cake.
