SHRIMP A LA NEWBURG VIA TEXAS 
Shrimp
Crabboil OR
1 onion
1 clove garlic
15 peppercorns
cayenne
1 lemon
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. thyme
1 c. rice (uncooked)
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. white sauce
1 c. cheese, grated
1/4 c. white wine
1 egg
Lemon slices
Bell pepper rings
Paprika

Boil shrimp in Crabboil or seasonings, 2 minutes. Peel shrimp. Cook rice in water and salt, 15 minutes. Make white sauce. Add cheese. Stir until melted. Add wine and well beaten egg. Add shrimp to sauce. Turn out into large casserole. Garnish with lemon and pepper. Serve.
