GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
9 med. potatoes, cook in microwave until barely tender, peel and slice into 1/4 inch slices
4 cooked eggs, diced
1/2 to 1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled

Place cooked potatoes, eggs and bacon into crock pot. Add 1 tablespoon salt. In skillet mix 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1 cup vinegar, 1/2 to 3/4 c. bacon grease. Bring to a boil, add cornstarch thickening (3-4 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with cold water to form a paste (thin). Continue to stir with a whisk and boil gently for 1-2 minutes to thicken. Add to potatoes. Mix well. Cook in crock pot on medium heat for 5-6 hours. Stir occasionally.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
