CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 c. water
1/2 c. cooking oil
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk

ICING:

3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 box confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped

Mix flour and sugar in bowl. In a saucepan, mix the butter, water, oil and cocoa; bring to boil. Pour over flour and sugar and mix in eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Put in greased and floured 9x13x2 inch loaf pan. Bake in 400 degree oven until done, about 20 minutes.

ICING: Mix cocoa, butter and milk; bring to a boil. Add sugar, vanilla and pecans. (Add milk if you want it creamy.) Icing should be started about 5 minutes before the cake is done. Spread on cake just as soon as cake comes from oven. Leave cake in baking pan.
