RAISIN TOFFEE BARS 
1 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, soft
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. 40% bran flakes
1 c. raisins

Sift together flour and salt. Combine butter and sugar in mixing bowl; mix thoroughly. Add vanilla and eggs. Beat well. Stir in bran flakes and raisins. Add flour mixture; stir until thoroughly combined. Spread in a well greased 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until well done. Cool in pan on wire rack. Frost. Let stand until set. Cut into bars, about 1 1/2 x 3 inches.

CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR:

Combine 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar, 1 tablespoon soft butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1 or 2 tablespoons milk. Beat until smooth and spread over bars.
