ROCK CANDY 
4 c. sugar
1 c. white syrup
1 c. water
Food coloring
Oil of cloves, anise, cinnamon, winter green or lemon

Boil sugar, syrup and water until 295 degrees on candy thermometer. Flavor with 1 dram of one of the oils, whatever flavor you desire. Stir in 1 dram of food coloring. Turn off heat after reaching 295 degrees. Spread on two powdered sugar trays (cookie), cool and bread. HINT: The following coloring can be used to flavors:

Cloves - blue

Anise - red

Cinnamon - orange

Wintergreen - green

Lemon - yellow.
