WHOLE WHEAT MAPLE MUFFINS 
1 c. white flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. milk

Stir ingredients just until blended. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
