QUICK CORN LIGHT BREAD 
2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. shortening

Mix well and pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cool and slice thin.
