GRANDMA'S BROWN BEAN CHOWDER
(CHILI)
 
1 lb. pinto beans
2 lbs. of lean ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 lg. cloves of garlic, minced 1 or 2 tbsp.
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (16 oz.) can of whole tomatoes
1 pkg. chili seasoning or 3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper

Prepare beans as directed on package using lots of juice. Brown meat, add salt, pepper, onions and garlic. Cook until done. In large pan, add meat, tomato paste, whole tomatoes, chili powder and cooked beans with juice. Cook for 30 minutes.
