TERI'S BUTTER CRESCENTS (Yeast Rolls) | |
1 to 2 pkgs. dry yeast 2 c. warm water (105 to 115 degrees) 2 c. butter, melted, divided 1 c. sugar 6 eggs, beaten 1 1/2 tsp. salt 9 c. all-purpose flour Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl. Add 1 cup melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt; stir well. Gradually add flour, mixing well. Cover and let rise in a warm place (85 degrees) free from drafts, for 4 hours. Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Turn each part of dough out onto a lightly floured board; knead 4 or 5 times. Roll into 12 inch circles, and knead with remaining melted butter. Cut each circle into 12 wedges. Roll up each wedge, beginning at wide end and place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Let rise 1 hour in a warm (85 degrees), draft free place. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, or until light brown. Makes 4 dozen. |
