YELLOW BUTTER CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
4 eggs
2 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, add sugar. Sift flour, add baking powder and salt and sift again. Add with milk to sugar mixture. Add vanilla and almond, then the eggs one at a time. Stir in coconut and nuts. Pour into 2 or 3 greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool in pans for 5 minutes. Remove onto racks. Fill and frost the layers with a coconut cream cheese frosting.
