EASY LASAGNA 
1 lb. lean ground beef, cooked and drained
4 c. tomato-basil sauce (1 jar)
10 uncooked lasagna noodles
15 oz. Ricotta or cottage cheese
2 1/2 c. (10 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. hot water

Stir beef and pasta sauce together. Spread 1/3 of meat sauce in lightly greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Layer 5 noodles, half of Ricotta cheese and half of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Spread remaining meat sauce over Mozzarella cheese. Slowly pour 1/2 cup of hot water around inside edge of baking pan. Cover with heavy-duty aluminum foil or lid.

Bake in 375°F oven for 50 minutes. Uncover.

Bake 10 minutes more. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Believe it or not, this is the first lasagna I've ever prepared (I'm 32, and cook a fair bit). This seemed to be the most straightforward, simple lasagna I could find online, so I just went with it. I was cooking for a crowd, so I made two pans. As such, I made one with ricotta cheese and one with cottage cheese. Both were a huge hit! I tried a piece of both to compare, and found that I enjoyed the one with cottage cheese a little more because it had a creamier texture, but the flavour in both was superb. Thanks for helping me create a successful dinner party for my fiancee's birthday :D
