COUNTRY STYLE STEAK WITH
MUSHROOMS
 
2 lb. cube steak, cut in bite size pieces
Flour for batter
1/2 tsp. salt to taste
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 med. size onion, chopped fine
1 soup can water
1 (4 oz.) jar mushrooms
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix flour, salt and pepper. Batter steak cube pieces in mixture. Brown steak in skillet until golden brown. Add the soup, onion and water to the steak and drippings in the skillet. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add mushrooms and cornstarch. Simmer 15 more minutes until gravy is thick as you want it.
