SNICKER DOODLES 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar plus 2 tbsp.
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar; cream well. Add eggs and beat. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt. Add to creamed ingredients; mix well and chill. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon. Take dough and shape into small balls; roll in sugar and cinnamon. Bake in 350 degree oven 10 minutes. Make small balls as these spread.
