MARY'S GREEK MEATBALLS 
1 lb. lean ground chuck
1 egg
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 slices bread, soaked in water and squeezed dry
1/2 med. onion, grated
3/4 c. water
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice to taste

Combine all ingredients but the lemon and mix well. Let stand 15 minutes. Heat oil to 375 degrees. Shape balls (24 medium or 36 small) and roll lightly in flour. Deep fry until browned. Drain on paper towels. Squeeze lemon juice over balls, if desired.
