HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP 
1 whole chicken, cut in quarters
1 sm. onion, whole
3 lg. carrots
3 stalks celery
1 tbsp. parsley flakes

Place chicken in large kettle; cover with water. Place onion in the kettle, add 1/2 teaspoon salt to water. Simmer until chicken is done, about 2 hours. Skim foam off water during cooking time. Remove chicken from kettle and let it cool.

Debone and skin chicken parts. While chicken is cooling, cut up vegetables; place in kettle and cook until tender, then add wide noodles and chicken, dice up onion and add to soup. Cook until done. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
