GOLDEN CROWN ROLLS | |
1 c. scalded milk 2 tbsp. shortening 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt Combine above ingredients. Cool to lukewarm and add 1 yeast cake (1 package yeast). Add approximately 3 1/2 cups flour and mix to a soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with damp cloth and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down, let rise 10 minutes. Shape into balls, golf ball size, roll each in melted butter, then in mixture of: 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. raisins Arrange in a well greased angel food cake pan in staggered layers. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture. Let rise until doubled. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. |
