BLUEBERRY SCONES 
4 c. flour (all-purpose)
3 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. butter (butter)
1 lg. egg, separated
1 1/2 c. half & half
1 1/2 pkgs. thawed frozen blueberries

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, 2 tablespoons sugar, and cream of tartar with 3/4 cup butter. Mix egg yolk and half & half; add to dry ingredients. Make dough; knead 5 to 6 times. Knead in blueberries. Make 2 loaves. Cut 7 inch rounds in 4. Place scones 1 inch apart. Top with egg white and remaining sugar.

Bake at 425°F for 15 to 18 minutes.
