JELLY TARTS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. butter flavored Crisco
1 egg
Dash of salt
Confectioners' sugar
Raspberry preserves

Cream Crisco, sugar and salt. Add egg and extract mix then add flour and baking powder. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Using a doughnut cutter, cut half the cookies with the middle circle of the cutter in and half with the middle circle out. Bake the cookies for approximately 12 minutes. Let cool. Put preserves in the center of all the cookies WITHOUT the hole. Put cookies with holes on top. Sprinkle cookies with confectioners' sugar.
