50 caramels 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 box German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter 1/4 c. evaporated milk 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped nuts Melt together caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Set aside. Mix together cake mix, butter and 1/4 cup evaporated milk. Pat half of cake mixture into ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 6 minutes. Remove pan from oven and pour chocolate chips over top. Add chopped nuts, then spread caramel mixture. Take small amounts of remaining cake mixture and pat over top of caramel mixture. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Submitted by: jess burt |
